Roger Lee Cline Sr.

Roger Lee Cline, Sr. age 77 of Hardy passed away Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born December 25, 1944 in Raysal, West Virginia, a son of late Reece and Fannie Tate Cline. He was also preceded in death by his brother Frank Cline; sister Josephine Phipps. Roger worked in the coal mines and was a UMWA member after 30 plus years, served in the United States Army and was a faithful member and Deacon at Wirtz Assembly of God. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years Billie Cline; daughter Tammy Vanover (Johnny); son Roger Cline, Jr. (Jessica); grandchildren Hailey, Chelsey, Ashley, Becky and Remy; sister Carol Lockhart; special friend Robert Dent (Doraine). Funeral Services will be at Flora Funeral Chapel, 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 with Rev. Denver Turner officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Please wear mask according to the CDC guide lines when attending the service.  His family will receive friends one hour prior to service Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
