Roger Dale Lynch

Roger Dale Lynch, age 69 of Rocky Mount went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Lynch. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Hicks Lynch; and their children and grandchildren; mother, Gladys Wade; siblings, Robin Forry (Jerry) and Chad France (Amy); several nieces and nephews, Kyle Forry, Blair Dethlefsen (James), Thomas France, Katie France, Noah Dillon, Georgia Forry, Sawyer Forry; his aunt, Evelyn Phennicie (Ron); very special niece, Kayla Santrock; and his lifelong friend and brother in Christ, Elbert Foley. Roger was a lifetime employee of the Schewels Company where his passion for meeting new people came into play every day. He lived life to the absolute fullest. You need not look far to find him. He was on the dance floor kicking his leg and singing Under the Boardwalk at the top of his lungs. His favorite place in the world was on a sunny beach with sand in between his toes and the sun shining. He had the biggest smile and the biggest heart full of love for his family. No one loved their family more than Roger and he made sure everyone knew it. He was a doting husband, son, brother and uncle. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Franklin Heights Church. The family will receive visitors one hour prior. As Roger would have wanted, a celebration of life will be held at Willow Creek Country Club, Rocky Mount, VA on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
