Roger Raymond Pendleton

Roger Raymond Pendleton, age 79 of Ferrum passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026.

He was born on August 26, 1946 to the late Raymond and Edna Pendleton. He was also preceded in death by one son, Kevin Pendleton; and siblings, Veva, Curtis, Francine, Jackie, and Philip.

Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jennifer Richardson Pendleton; children, Lisa Forbes (James), Travis Pendleton (Stephanie), and Devin Pendleton; grandchildren Zane (Makenzie) and Ty Forbes, Tristan and Teagan Pendleton; siblings Mary Leigh, Danny (Jeanie), Bobbie Jean (Lynwood), and Charles (Amy); and many nieces and nephews.

Roger was a logger and an avid hunter and fisherman. Roger found joy in the outdoors and treasured every opportunity to be in the woods or on the water. He coached several little league baseball teams and was also a collector of guns, knives, and coins.

Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026. Interment will follow in the Richards Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
