Roger Dale "Pug" Brown

Roger Dale “Pug” Brown, age 57 of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Curtis Brown, Mr. and Mrs. William Bill Prillaman; in-laws, Hazel and Morris Stephenson; and his dog, Sadie. Surviving are his wife, Peggy Brown; children, Brandon Brown and Blake Brown (Bree); brother, W.C. Brown (Jessie); parents, Paul and Mary Alice Brown; special friends, Richard Mitchell, Robert Younie, Mark “Cornbread” Franklin, and Jewell Brown Jr.; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Roger loved watching his boys play baseball. He enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of his yard and garden, and bowling. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 with Pastor Mark Long officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
