Roger Lee Smith

Roger Lee Smith, age 61 of Bassett passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 along with his friend, David Stanford as the result of an automobile accident. His puppies were his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Uba and Lorene Smith and a brother, Danny Wayne Smith. Surviving are his sisters, Joyce Bormet and Michele Robinson (Dennis), brother, Ken Smith (Teresa), nieces and nephews, Jessica Robinson, Josh Bormet, Valery Smith, Samantha Smith, Jessica Giffin, Brandon Smith, Tyler Smith and Christopher Smith, great nephew, Lane Bormet, his babies, Rock and Cody Smith. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Brother David F. Boarman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
