Roger Lynn Songer

Roger Lynn Songer, age 58 of Rocky Mount passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Lynch and Betty Lynch Hairfield. Surviving are his companion, Heather Hodges; brother, Jeffrey (aka Gassy) Songer; sisters, Gail Hodges (Barry Dudley), Debra Lynch (Juan Silva); sons, Michael Songer (Crystal Songer), T.J. Songer (Crystal Hall), and Austin Songer; five grandchildren, Colton, Ava, Ivy, Gabriella and Ford; five nieces and two nephews, Mindy, Samantha, Vanessa, Adriana, Maria, Carlos and Timmy (whom he thought of like a son). Special thanks to a very special friend and cousin, Anthony Lynch and Betty Wilcher. A graveside service will be held at the Songer Family Cemetery 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2022 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. His family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center.
