Ronald Wayne Bennett

Ronald Wayne Bennett, (Ronnie), age 87, of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Pleasant Ridge Nursing Home. Ronnie was the son of the late Johnnie and Lavon Bennett of Rocky Mount. Ronnie was married for 60 years and survived by his beloved wife, Mary Sigmon Bennett. Ronnie is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Bennett; and sister, Diane Arrington. Ronnie has two sons, Ronald E. Bennett of Ridgeway and the late David C. Bennett of Rocky Mount. Ronnie has one grandchild, Marena N. Bennett of Ridgeway; and many nieces and nephews. Ronnie was a US Army veteran and retired from Lance Inc. where he ran a route in Rocky Mount for 25 years. Ronnie was a skilled wood craftsman and enjoyed many hobbies, especially camping and fishing. There will be a graveside gathering of family later to be announced.
