Ronald Lee Childress

Ronald Lee Childress, age 70 of Hardy, VA passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016. He was born in Springwood, VA and was preceded in death by his father, Oscar E. Childress; mother, Arlene “Peg” Johnson; brothers, Bill and Tommy Childress; step-father, James Johnson; and his wives, Barbara Childress and Vera Strobel Childress. He is survived by two sisters, Gracie Landes and husband Bob of Tyler, Texas, and Mary Jane Calhoun and husband Wayne of Hardy, VA; his sister-in-law, Shelby Childress of Buchanan, VA. He leaves nine step-children; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A private celebration of his life will be held by immediate family at a later date.
