Ronald Lee David

Ronny passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 27, 2021. He was born April 2, 1958 to the late Drewry and Erma David. He was a member of Liberty Christian Church. He worked at Times Fiber Communications for 25 years as a draw-line operator and then 12 years for Turner Construction. Ronny was constantly “in motion”, staying busy with something. He could be found in his shop tinkering with a vehicle or doing woodwork. He took great pride in his yard work. He loved being on Pigg River, camping and canoeing with family and friends. He was always ready to help when someone called on him.

Those of us left behind to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend, Rosalind Oakes David; Children, Benjamin and Sarah David; Grandchildren, Kaylie Kidd and Andrew David, “the apples of his eyes”; Brother, Joseph David (Nancy); Sisters, Bernice Palmer (Steve), Deborah “Kitty” Cales (Paul), and Susan Doss (Joey); and nieces and nephews who he cared for deeply.

The family sincerely thanks Jetta, our hospice nurse with Centra Hospice Team for the wonderful care she provided.

The family will receive friends at Liberty Christian Church on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. A memorial service will be held at Liberty on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Steve Hayes will conduct the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
