Ronald Eugene “Roach” Secrist, age 56 of Rocky Mount, died Thursday, December 25, 2008.
He was an employee of Environmental Options for 24 years.
Surviving are his wife, Sheila Secrist; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lydia Secrist; two grandchildren, Romie and Britton; parents, Jasper and Jean Secrist; brother, Tim Secrist; many aunts and uncles; and his dearly beloved cats, Quigley, Hebetudinous, Double Stuff, and Nadia.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Denver Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Cole Tatum Medical Fund, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 1901 Patrick Henry Avenue, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
