Ronald Wayne Young

Ronald Wayne Young, 67, of Glade Hill, born December 28, 1947, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Ronnie was a kind hearted man that never met a stranger and his life was devoted to his family and his electrical company, Ronald W. Young Electrical. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morton and Charlotte Hudson Young. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn (Star) Young; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa (Duane) Hale; granddaughters, Zoe and Robi Young and Emma Hale; grandsons, Jackson Young and Colby and Parker Hale. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Lowell (Janet) Young; beloved sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn (Tom) Irvin; aunt, Goldie Buckner, as well as nieces and nephews and Judy Young, friend and mother of his children. Ronnie also leaves behind his wonderful and loving caregivers who spent countless hours giving him immaculate care and love, Heather Ferguson, Carolyn Saul, Bonnie Brown, Sara Mayhorn, and Melissa Hodges. A special thanks to Karen Tosh and the Carilion Hospice Team for the support they provided over the last couple of months. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Flora Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2015, at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Byrd Family Cemetery in Glade Hill.
