Rosemary June Saylor Noble, age 77 of Rocky Mount, Virginia passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Rose was born on June 20, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida to James and June Saylor.
After graduating from high school, Rose began a long and successful career with Prudential Insurance in Jacksonville, Florida which allowed her to travel to various parts of the United States. She also spoke often of her two trips to Israel. One of her favorite activities was to visit different parts of God’s creation and she especially loved the mountains.
Rose was a wonderful cook and loved to share the gift of delicious food and fellowship with all who knew her. She opened her home to many people as her way to serve the Lord. She spent years as a youth group leader, active in the ladies service groups of her church, and even in her final years when she was unable to host groups and go visit others as she wanted, she started a card ministry. She was a mighty prayer warrior who was always thinking of people to pray for and adding them to her list. Rose had many delightful days in her most recent years with her friend Nancy Barnhart, going to exercise at the YMCA pool, shopping at second hand stores, playing lots of Mexican Train dominoes, and attending the Ladies Bible study.
Rose is survived by her son, Ricky Noble (Becky) and granddaughters, Victoria Noble and Sarah Noble; daughter, Stephanie Crummey (Alan) and grandchildren, Jessica Lee and Wyatt Lee (Bethany); daughter, Shawnta Fears (Chris) and granddaughter, Lydia Atkins; and her adopted Virginia family, Alpheus and Eva Atkins and granddaughters, Hannah, Sarah, Faye and Lydia Atkins. She is also survived by her loving siblings her sister, Kitty (Steve) Quina; her brother, Marty (Janice) Saylor; and brother Wayne (Fe) Saylor. Rose will also be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters in Christ of Trinity Reformed Baptist Church, of Roanoke, VA.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Trinity Reformed Baptist Church, 7965 Dunahoo Drive, Boones Mill, VA. Visitation with the family will be at 10 a.m. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. There will be a meal to follow the service.
The graveside service will be on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11 a.m. at 5032 Lanes Bridge Road, Jesup, GA.
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff members of Carilion Roanoke Memorial for their loving care for her during the last 12 days of her life.
In lieu of flowers, Rose would love for you to donate to the missionaries her church supports. Please send gifts to Trinity Reformed Baptist Church, at 7965 Dunahoo Drive, Boones Mill, VA.
Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
