Roy Wayne Pasley, 60, of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.
He was a member of Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren and a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He was the previous co-owner of Jones Produce for a number of years. He had a passion for antique cars namely 1957 Chevrolets. His kind and caring nature will always be remembered by everyone he knew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gracie Pasley; brother and sister in-law Melvin and Mary Pasley; sister Margie Tolbert.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his sons & daughter in-law, Kevin Pasley and son Cory, Tim & Trenda Pasley and children Logan Beth, Luke, and Lawson; his daughter Kristy Pasley and children Seth and Jace; his dear love and companion of 19 years, Connie Hodges.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his dear friends Edward Farris, Ron Willard, Roger Smith, and his former wife Faye Pasley.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 with Pastors Ronald Coleman and Mike Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in the Pasley Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in Wayne’s memory be made to Red Valley Rescue Squad c/o Wanda Clements 3017 Burnt Chimney Road, Wirtz, VA 24184 or Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren c/o Jeremy Adkins 16405 Snow Creek Road, Penhook, VA 24137.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday with his family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
