Roy Rogers Hodges

Roy Rogers Hodges, 61 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Edith Hodges; and sister, Wanda Hodges. Roy was a proficient welder in Florida where he lived for 20 years. He was also a United States Coast Guard Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Janet Weaver Hodges; children, Shawn, Ben, Wanda and Rebecca; many grandchildren; brother, Donald Wayne Hodges and wife, Diane; sister, Joyce Willie; uncle, Buck Hodges; many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted from Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church 2:00 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Liz Lazenby officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Planned Pethood and Adoption Center, P.O. Box 2118, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
