Roy Lee Stevens, age 69 of Henry, passed away Wednesday April 4, 2007.
Mr. Stevens was retired from Virginia Asphalt Paving Co. after thirty two years of service. Following retirement, he operated Stevens Auto Sales for ten years.
He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Ford.
Surviving are his wife Caroline F. Stevens; six children Patricia Fleenor and husband Dan, of Hiltons, Sherry Gross, Sandra Poston and husband Steve, Susan Roberts and husband Mack, all of Bristol, VA, Roy Allen Stevens and girlfriend Sheila of Rocky Mount, and Gloria Mae Journell and husband Tim of Henry; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Doris Leheny of Bristol.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Friday with Rev. Brad Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
