Ruby Hodges Campbell, age 84 of Glade Hill, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 28, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Addie Hodges; her first husband, Vern Miller Hodges; her second husband, Raymond Morris Campbell; two sons, Vern Junior Hodges, Donald Wayne Hodges; brothers, George Cabell, Arthur, Dalton; sister, Annie Mae, Pearl, Mammie, Lillie, Ellen; granddaughter, Teresa Pagans; great-great-granddaughter, Madison Kidd.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her son, Terry Ivin Hodges; daughters and son-in-law, Gladys Hodges, Margie Pagans, Deborah and Gerald Powell; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dannie Smith; special caregivers, Ella Mae Sink and Pat Hodges.
Funeral services will be conducted from Woodlawn Baptist Church 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Eddie Hawks and Rev. Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hodges-Lynch Family Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Sunday with her family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount and other times at the home of Ruby Campbell, 992 Goldmine Road, Glade Hill, Virginia 24092.
