Ruby Kinsey Wray

Ruby Kinsey Wray, 88, of Boones Mill, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, after a brief illness. Mrs. Wray was born in Franklin County, Virginia, December 10, 1921, and was a life long member of Boones Mill Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles I. Wray; her parents, John and Olivia Kinsey; two sisters, Ann Scarborough and Betty Jo Fisher; four brothers, Paul, J.T., Wallace and Charles Kinsey. She is survived by two sons, Charles Wray of Boones Mill and Thomas E. Wray and wife Margie of Roanoke; three grand-daughters, Daphne Wray, Jeannine Wray both of Roanoke and Jennifer Wray of Seward, Alaska; a sister, Hazel Harrison (Grover) of Bassett; two brothers, George Kinsey (Lonna) and Bill Kinsey(Joyce) of Boones Mill; a number of beloved nieces and nephews; many foster children & grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010, at Boones Mill Christian Church with Rev. Stewart Royce officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Wednesday at Boones Mill Christian Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/ Smith Mountain Lake.
