Ruby Quinn Potter, age 78 of Rocky Mount, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Quinn; and nephew, Anthony Quinn.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Hoover Potter; daughters, Paula Ratliff and husband Steve, Robin Meador and husband Jay; she was a nana to four special grandchildren, Michael Meador, William Ratliff, Hannah Ratliff and Alyson Meador; mother, Lera France Quinn; one brother, Edmond (Buddy) Quinn and wife Hildred; four sisters, Audrey Peters, Barbara Mattox, Betty Worley and husband Buddy, Peggy Clingenpeel; numerous nieces, nephews, and one special sister-in-law, Ruby Reynolds.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday with Minister Ted Clifton and Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted, but contributions to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Her family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount. 540-483-3835
