Ruby K. Warren, age 92 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, April 19, 2007.
She was born November 11, 1914 a daughter of the late Charlie E. and Mary Gardner Kirks.
She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and retired from Bassett Walker Knitting Mill with seventeen years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul D. Warren; two infant children; sister, Bessie K. Matherly; brother, Everett J. Kirks; half sister, Betty K. Dillon.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Christine Warren; granddaughter, Phyllis and Lewis Hauger; step-mother, Doris B. Kirks; half sister, Nancy K. Holcomb all of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Mary W. Stevens of Palmyra, PA; several nieces.
Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Mark Dean officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Fork Mountain Volunteer Rescue Squad, c/o Nancy Holcomb, 2466 Fork Mountain Road, Bassett, Va. 24055.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday with her family receiving friends from 7-8:30 at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount and other times at the home of Phyllis and Lewis Hauger.
