Ruby Woods Worley

Ruby Woods Worley, age 95 of Ferrum died Monday, October 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Worley; daughter, Patty Hatcher; one grandchild; and several brothers and sisters. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church since July 1948 and a volunteer for many organizations including the Hospital Auxiliary, Social Services, St. James Church Community Services Clothes and Food Closet, Ferrum Fire Department Auxiliary. She was also a member and volunteer of the Rocky Mount Senior Center and Usher at the Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre for many years. Mrs. Worley retired from Ferrum Veneer Plastic Company with many years of service. Her motto was to always put others first. Surviving are her daughter, Becky Turner; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-great-grandson; and brother, Frank Woods. Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 with Dr. Billy Shively and Rev. Liz Lazenby officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
