Russell "Bubba" Wayne Meeks

Russell “Bubba” Wayne Meeks, age 75 of Rocky Mount passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. He was born on April 12, 1943 to the late Aldolphus E. and Virginia T. Meeks of Scruggs. He was predeceased by five brothers, Everett, Cecil, Jerry, Ray and Thomas Meeks; two sisters, Juanita Furrow and Barbara Collins. He is survived by Mary and JL Furrow; several nieces and nephews; sister, Shirley Belcher; and brother, Allen Meeks; special friends, Jason Cundiff, Bonnie and Kenny Taylor. In lieu of flowers and food, the family request donations to Carilion Clinic Hospice of Franklin County or Redwood United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brad Dulaney officiating. His family will receive friends one hour before the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
