Russell Paul Woods

Russell Paul Woods, age 78 of Callaway passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 with his family by his side. He was retired from Cooper Wood Products. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Russell was born October 24, 1939 a son of the late Charlie W. and Mattie Cooper Woods and was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Van Woods and brothers C.W. and Marvin Woods. Surviving are his ” beautiful wife” of 40 years, Bonnie Lois Woods; daughter, Sandy Gentry; sons, Barry Woods and Gary Woods (Marnie); several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and a great- grandchild; brother, Billy Woods (Carol); sisters, Margaret Crook, Essie Wilson, Jean Powell (Elbert); several nieces, nephews and six loving sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
