Ruth Barnhart Bowman

Bowman, Ruth Barnhart, 93, formerly of Wirtz, died December 7, 2013 at The Hermitage in Richmond, VA. She was a life-long member of Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Bowman, on January 27, 1995, her son Harold E. Bowman, Jr., her brother Maurice Barnhart and her sister Mandy Foster. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon B. and Tom H. Erbaugh of Mentor, OH; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark A. Bowman and Ellyn Axelrod of Danville, CA; Joseph A. and Betty B. Bowman of Midlothian, VA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. December 14, 2013 at Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren with Pastor Bruce Huffman officiating. Interment in the church cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren, 2363 Brick Church Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. The family will receive friends at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount, Friday. December 13, 2013 between 5 and 7 P.M.
