Ruth Ann Smith, age 70 of Callaway died Tuesday, January 06, 2009.
She is survived by her husband Carey W. Smith; sons and daughters-in-law William and Becky Smith, Alvin and Cindy Smith; daughters Julie and Billy Gibson, Marilyn Wright and fiancé Sammie Oakes; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Evelyn and Johnny Rains, Georgia and Allen Buttersworth.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 with Pastor Homer D. Sawyer officiating.
Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery at the home.
A very special thanks to all of the Public Safety Crews throughout Franklin County for their loving care and willingness to always be there when called upon.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
