Sallie Fox

Sallie Fox, age 96 of Wirtz went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Fox; parents, J.L. and Tobitha Ellis; brothers and sisters, Ford, Paul and Jake Ellis, Ruth Smithers, and Thelma Robertson. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sue Amos; granddaughter, Cherie Hall and husband Dean; great-grandchildren, Tara and Sam Hall; and sister, Jewell Lavinder. Special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Bonnie Harlow and the nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 1 p.m. Monday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will be private at Danville Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
