Sallie Kate Hodges

Sallie Kate Hodges, age 91 of Rocky Mount passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025. She was born May 21, 1934 a daughter of the late William Anderson and Dematrice Holland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lenford Hodges; two daughters, Dematrice James and Bonnie Marie Young; and granddaughter, Jaquetta Diane Walker. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hodges; son Oscar Wayne Hodges; grandchildren, Tammy Sue Weaver (Lonnie), Stacey Dwayne Hodges and Greg Shannon James (Tracy); great-grandchildren, Brandy Roatenberry (Nate), Brooke Weaver, Breanna Weaver, Emily Walker, Brian Walker and Everleigh Hodges; great-great-grandson, Oakley Roatenberry; sister, Nancy Amos; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sallie was a sweet and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and maintaining her flowers. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
