Sammie Benjamin Motley

Sammie Benjamin Motley, 66 of Rocky Mount passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014. He was born December 4, 1947 a son of the late B. Lloyd Motley and F. Ellnor Motley. Also he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael L. Motley. Sammie was retired from VDOT. He was an avid race car fan and enjoyed talking to people and making friends everywhere he went. Surviving are a loving and caring sister, Judy M. Hodges; brother, Steve A. Motley; sister-in-law, Betty Motley; special aunt, Linda Vernon. Memorial services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2014. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
