Sandra Carol Fore

Sandra Carol (Linkswiler) Fore, age 78 of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 and was welcomed to her heavenly home and into the arms of her Lord and Savior and her son, James Luther Sturgill III who preceded her in death in 2021.

Sandra was born to Ellen Victoria Baldwin and John Jackson Linkswiler on February 5, 1947 in New York.

She is survived by her son, William Andrew Shires; daughter-in-law and caregiver, Amy Sturgill; three grandsons; her two assistant caregivers; great-granddaughters, Bella and Willow Simmons; and two great-grandsons, Jayce and Rowan Sturgill.

Sandra was a kind soul. Special thanks to Dr. Sarah Stubbs and RN Heather Spence as well as all of Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
