Sandra L. Hardwick

Sandra Hardwick, 69, died unexpectedly August 6, 2023, at Carilion Hospital in Roanoke.  Sandy was born November 4, 1953, in Denver Colorado.  She was the daughter of Frank and Rebecca Fuller, both deceased, and is survived by her sister, Cynthia Smith and her brother Charles Fuller. Sandy served in the U.S. Army for eight years and worked in civil service for 40 years retiring in 2018.  Sandy made her primary residence in Hampton, VA before requiring her to relocate to an assisted living facility in Roanoke, VA. Sandy always made people feel special wherever she was.  Her smile, wit and great sense of humor were a joy to those around her.  She was always ready to share her wisdom and could sense when someone needed a friend.  Sandy also had a love of motorcycles, and her happy place was riding her Harley through the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Look for her there next time you make that trip. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 9th at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).  Condolences may be expressed at www.florafuneralservice.com.
