Sandra Caroline Jenkins

Sandra Caroline Jenkins, age 62 of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2009. She was born February 1, 1946 in Rocky Mount, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Catherine Newman and a brother, Wilford (Danny) Newman. Surviving are her two daughters Regina (Jean) McPherson, Mary (Monkey) Tyler of Rocky Mount, her three sisters, Mrs. Gary Barger (Rosemary) of Pittsville, Mrs. Terry Gusler (Darlene) of Boones Mill and Lorrie (Ann) Newman of Rocky Mount, One brother Mr. Ricky Newman of Fort Mill, SC. Also surviving are her five grandchildren Ashley Lynn Hoback, Amber Nicole Hoback, Richard Matthew McPherson, William Jesse McPherson and Taylor Hope McPherson, two step-grandchildren Jacob Tyler and Josh Tyler. Several nieces and nephews, that she held dear to her heart, Jay, James, Kathy, Daniel and Barbara, and two very special babies, Lucy and Bobby and many special friends. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park.
