Sandra Lee Jones

Sandra Lee Jones, age 69 of Roanoke and formerly of Rocky Mount died Monday, January 18, 2016 following a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas L. and Nancy Wingfield Jones. Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Mary Jones; sister, Betty (B.J.) Jones; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including devoted friends, Doug and Iva Ricks. She retired with many years of service from Coca-Cola. The family would like to thank all of the shoppers at Walmart Valley View, where she was presently employed, who made their greeter Sandra feel like a celebrity. Sandra was a member of the Eastern Star Salem Chapter 161 and member of the Women of the Moose Roanoke Chapter. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
