Sara Ann Guilliams

Sara Ann Young Guilliams, age 75 of Rocky Mount passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012. She was preceded in death by her much beloved husband, Jackie Brown Guilliams; father and mother, William Lauren Young and Sarah Elizabeth Ramsey Young; and brother, James Bernard Young. She worked as a beautician for 52 years and loved that work, as much as her friends who came to have their hair done. Surviving are her daughter, Sara Amanda Guilliams Brown and husband Colby; grandsons, Walter Cooper Brown and Forrest Jackson Brown; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy Young Smith and husband Johnny; sisters-in-law, Joanne Guilliams Smith and Betty Myers Young; brother-in-law, H.T. (Buddy) Guilliams, Jr.; special aunt, Nancy Ramsey Cooper Turner; and special cousin, Martha Turner. Memorial services will be conducted from Bethlehem United Methodist Church 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, c/o Rita Doughton, 2085 Crooked Oak Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Her family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
