Scott Payne Cook

Cpl Scott Payne Cook, age 21of Camp Lejeune, NC passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014. He was raised in Rocky Mount, VA and was serving proudly as a Cpl in the U.S. Marine Corps. In his passing he left behind his son, Wesley Scott Cook, his wife and son?s mother Autumn Cook; parents, Linda and Clarence Greer; five brothers, Shain (Stephanie) Bailey, Randy (Hannah) Bailey, Ted (Heida) Cook, Chris and Kenny (Anna) Greer; three sisters, Wendy (CR) Poindexter, Shelly(Brad) Patton and Heather(Kenny) Swaim; two grandparents, Pappa and Granny Greer; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him very much. Scott was preceded in death by his father, William Ted Cook and grandmother, Mattie Mullins. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Monday. Interment with military honors will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
