Sharon Marie Elston

Sharon Marie Elston, age 71 of Big Island, VA passed away Friday, October 9, 2026. She was born April 4, 1955 in New Jersey, the daughter of the late Oscar and Irene Lair Elston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Elston. Surviving are her extended family, Dan and June Burks, April Haddock, Sam Walker, Jonathan and Jackie Sigmon, Emma and Sky Sigmon, Justin and Emileigh Hackett, Andrew Berger, Tate Hackett, David McGuffin, Kathy Thurman and Keith Hackett. Sharon loved crocheting and sewing. She was a member of Red Valley United Methodist Church and the Moose. Sharon loved God and loved sharing prayer with family and friends. She loved spending time with her extended family, even though they were not biological. She cherished the strongest bonds with the ones who truly filled her heart. Services will be private.
