Shelby Davis Wright Dillon

Shelby Davis Wright Dillon, age 80 of Rocky Mount Went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 4, 2018. She was born March 17, 1938 in Waynesboro, Va. to the late Melvin Davis and Virginia Davis Feazelle. Shelby was also preceded in death by her brother, M. Leon Davis, sister, Nancy Davis and son-in-law Frank Dillon, also her best friend and companion, George W. Hodges. Shelby retired from Ronile after 30 years of service. She enjoyed visiting and helping others, an outdoors person and always on the go. Prior to living at Franklin Health Care, seven years and Trinity Mission, two years, she attended Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving are her three sons and two daughters and their families, James and Teresa Wright, David and Lynn Wright, Michael Wright, Nancy Wright, Betty and Dan Spear, special granddaughter, Justina Wright, special nephew, Anthony Stanley, dedicated and loving sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Jimmy Stanley, sister-in-law Leitha Davis, her “Golden Girls” Shirley Spencer, Joyce Gibson. Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 7, 2018 at Mountain View Memorial Park with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m..
