Shelia Furrow

Shelia Furrow, age 58 of Callaway received her victory and won her battle against cancer on Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was born August 24, 1954 to the late Glenard and Vergie Hunt. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Larry Hunt, Vernon Hall; sisters, Patricia (Saford) Janney, Nancy Doss, Frances (Roger) Hunt; special niece/daughter, Annette Janney. Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Billy Ray Furrow; children, Tina Prillaman, Kevin Furrow, Billy (Tia) Furrow, Bobby (Taylor) Furrow, Katie McBride; very special nieces and nephews which she loved as her own children, Yvette Hodges, Donald (Donna) Janney, Ronald Janney, Rodney (Kim) Janney, Lonnie (Kim) Janney; grandchildren, Emily (Caleb) Furrow, Hannah Prillaman, Tyler Furrow, Gabe, Hailey and Bailey Furrow, Abby Furrow, Bree Krebs, Jaden, McKenzie and Madison Austin, Brandon and Ryan Hodges, Robert Bradbury, Bethany Nash, Gwenann Janney Trevor and Brittany Janney, Stephanie Nichols, Alexis Janney, Cameron and Taylor Janney; sister, Pansy (Cecil) Lewis; brother, Jackie (Pat) Hall, brother-in-law, Jack Doss; sister-in-law, Brenda Pierce; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny (Linda) Furrow; aunt, Rachel Buckner; numerous nieces and nephews; special family and friends, Sharon Dudley, Danny Prillaman, Stacy and Mary Underwood, Ruthie Storburg, Shelia Motley, Amanda Nelson, and the staff and kids at Glade Hill Elementary School. Special thanks to all who assisted the family during Shelia’s illness especially the family of Tex McPherson, Randy and Pam McPherson, Loretta and Lee Yopp, and Stoney and Carolyn McPherson. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Travis Gore officiating. Interment will follow in the Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
