Shirley Martin Altice

Shirley Martin Altice, age 79 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, February 25, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Virginia Martin; one sister; and one brother. Surviving are her husband, J.T. Altice; sons, Dean Hennis and Dan Hennis; daughter, Robin Mayhew; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six step-children; 12 step-grandchildren; one brother, Lynwood Martin of Woolwine, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Stump and Pastor Tim Hunt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin County Rescue Squad. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
