Shirley Grindstaff Hammock, age 83 of Snow Creek passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Fork Mountain Rest Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Hammock; daughter, Lisa Ferguson Hagy; parents, Gus and Nora Grindstaff; six brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Hammock is survived by her son, Bruce (Diane) Ferguson; grandsons, Dusty Ferguson, Niles and Lyndsey Ferguson; step-grandson, D.J. Spencer and Samantha; and two-step granddaughters. Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
