Sidney A. Simmons, age 79 of Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008.
He was born September 16, 1929 to the late Herman and Rosebud Simmons.
Surviving are his son Terry Simmons; favorite niece Elizabeth Hodges; niece Josephine Hudson; grandson James Eubank; granddaughters Jenny Rand and Chrissy Wade; great niece Joyce Eubank; sister Rachel Radcliff; nephew Daniel Eubank.
Graveside services will be conducted from Mountain View Memorial Park 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating.
His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
