Sonia Lynn Underwood

Sonia Lynn Underwood, age 59 of Ferrum passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family. Sonia is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, David A. Underwood; daughter, Taria (William) Morris; son, Andrew (Suzanne) Underwood; special grand babies, Haley and Hunter; baby brother, Junior (Susan) Sisk; grandmother, Virginia Agee; stepfather, Harry Sisk, Sr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Sisk; father, Koji Maeyama, and grandfather, Robert Agee. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
