Stacy Wayne Hodges, age 39 of Rocky Mount died Friday, August 8, 2008 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Stacy was the owner and operator of AAA Rocky Mount Septic and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and trapping.
Stacy touched the hearts of all that were lucky to know him. He will be dearly missed by his family and community members.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby and Doogie Smithers, Ruby and Roy Hodges and his Grannie, Nellie Soyars.
Stacy is survived by wife, Lisa Campbell Hodges; father and stepmother, Wayne and Sherry Hodges; mother and stepfather, Cheta and Artie Bussey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Macie Campbell; sister-in-law, Penny Campbell Smith; sisters and brother-in-law, Melony Oakes, T.J. and Scott Agee; brother and sister-in-law, Cale and Traci Oakes; stepbrother and sisters, Ricky Dawson, Amanda Bussey and Nette Dawson; special friend, Tony Sigmon; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of friends.
A memorial service celebrating Stacy’s life will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2008 with the Rev. Bill Doss and Pastor Curtis English officiating.
