Stephen Wayne Henson, Sr.

Stephen Wayne Henson, Sr., age 60 of Boones Mill died Monday, February 4, 2019. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Alexander Stephen Willard. Surviving are his wife, Susan Henson; children, Stephanie Henson Willard, Stephen Wayne Henson, Jr.; granddaughter, Khloe Faye Willard; brothers, David Henson and wife Linda, Andy Henson and wife Rhonda; mother, Doris Jean Wyatt and husband Dan; father, Thomas Jackson Henson; many nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Raymond and Vivian Scott; and his two Great Danes, Zip and Zoe. Steve enjoyed carpentry, working with wood and leather, and farming. A memorial service will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Kathryn Budzik officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
