Stephen Benjamin Wilburn

Stephen Benjamin Wilburn, age 56 of Rocky Mount passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wilburn; grandparents, Etta Wilburn, Gene and Francis Manock; step-sister, Christie Spicer; numerous aunts and uncles. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Della and Clayton Hicks; sister, Cindy Wilburn; sons, Cory Johnson and Ben Wilburn; step-brother, Edwin Hicks (Monica); niece, Danielle Wilburn (Rob Handy); great-nephews, Levi Handy and Colton Handy; cousins, Susan Hunt and Gary Hunt. Stephen was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Special Forces in Germany with the Red Berets. He loved listening to Gospel music over the past few years. A Celebration of Life will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 with Pastor Edwin Hicks officiating. Inurnment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park with Military Honors. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
