Stephen Joseph Zombar

Stephen Joseph Zombar, age 68 passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home in Rocky Mount, Virginia.

Steve is survived by his wife, Pat. Left to cherish his memory are his children, CJ Zombar, Wendy Dudley, and Angel Zombar, step-children; Sabrina Marie Hendrickson, Robert Patterson. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Christina McCuen, Nick Best, Shawn Dudley, Chris Best, Tia Zombar, and Chris Zombar. He is also survived by his brothers, John, Craig, and Tim Zombar,  He will be fondly remembered by a multitude of extended family members and friends who can attest to his kindness in that he was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.

Steve was born on October 13, 1953 in Riverside, California and grew up in Connellsville, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Geibel Catholic High School. The Navy brought him to NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia before he later settled in Rocky Mount, Virginia. He is predeceased by his parents, Helen Marie Zombar and William Vincent Zombar. He retired after 24 years in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician, Petty Officer First Class (Air Warfare).

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 1-2pm with a service to follow at Flora Funeral Service, Inc. located at 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
