Steven Wayne Wright

Steven Wayne Wright, age 58 died at his home in Roanoke, VA, Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He is survived by his daughter, Sydney Grace Wright; son, Sam Hunter Wright; mother, Janice Saari; sister, Stephanie Wright; and the mother of his children, Laurie Wright. Steve graduated from Franklin County High School and DeVry Institute of Technology. Steve was a dedicated employee to Farm Bureau Insurance for 30 years in Franklin County, VA. He loved his Farm Bureau family and took pride in helping people. Steve co-coached travel soccer for the Franklin County Stars girls’ team. Steve loved being around his friends and family. He was the life of the party and made us all laugh. He cherished his two children and spent many hours on the soccer fields coaching and supporting them. He loved Virginia Tech football and enjoyed taking his children to games. Sydney and Sam were the highlight of his life, and he was extremely proud of their success. His family appreciates everyone who helped make a difference in his life. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
