Steven Lee Young Minton

Steven "Fat Cat" Lee Young Minton, age 59 of Rocky Mount passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, November 1, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Young Minton; and his grandparents, Selourie and Pauline Young. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary O. Minton; and by his uncle and aunt, Cecil & Gerry Love, with whom he made his home for many years; his sister, Teresa Jane Minton Strichik (Larry), of Titus, Alabama, Wanda Love Martin (Randy Shively); Wendel "Josh" Love (Pam); and Holli Martin, all of Rocky Mount; and several aunts and cousins. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Louellen Nichols (Larry), of Roanoke; Martha Wilhelm (Calvin Messick), Mt. Dora, Florida; and Georgie Johnson, of Vinton; and brother-in law, Glenn Owen (Annabelle), Roanoke; and survived by step¬children, Gary Lee Wray (Donna), Raleigh, N.C.; Leslie (Pat) Wray ( Lana), Raleigh, N.C.; Adam C. Hall (Mary Ann), Philadelphia, Penn.; Mary Beth Dahl (Cameron), Richmond; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on November 27, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Love Cemetery located on Fork Mountain Road, in Rocky Mount, Virginia. A family gathering for Thanksgiving and as a Celebration of his life will be held at the home of Wanda Love Martin, 6230 Fork Mountain Road, Rocky Mount, Va., following the graveside service.
