Sue J. Mills

Sue J. Mills age 70, of Rocky Mount passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her residence.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward L. and Pansy Jackson; brothers, Edward Jackson Jr. and Frank "Shorty" Jackson; sister, Nancy Sission; mother and father- in- law Page and Marie Mills. She is survived by the love of her life, Lewis P. Mills; daughter, Tina Cadden and son- in -law Tom Cadden; beloved granddaughter, Emily Cadden; sisters, Betty Schwinn , Martha Lou West and husband, Joe; sisters-in-law, Rose Sweeney and Sue Draper, numerous wonderful nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Karen Thomas who went above and beyond for the family. Special thanks to niece, Sherry West who always has beenfaithful, Donna Belle, Deanie Jackson, Dr. Kim Dulaney and Good Samaritan Hospice; Special friends, Charlotte Bishop, Sandy Milne, Carol Bryant, Betty Kehoe, Cathy Bays and Debbie Simmons. Also the Stampin Up Lunch Bunch group, Stampin Sisters group, CBS family and the Halesford Baptist Church family.

Sue's goal in life was to make the world a little better each day and to win souls for Jesus Christ. She was so thankful for the Lord leading them to Franklin County to find Halesford Baptist Church and CBS. She always said, "be a blessing to others as they have been to her.”

Box 915, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 or your favorite charity. Memorial services will be conducted at Halesford Baptist Church , 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 with Pastor Melvin Harris officiating. Her family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at Halesford Baptist Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/ Smith Mountain Lake.
