Sylvia Campbell Holley

Sylvia Campbell Holley, age 85 of Rocky Mount passed peacefully Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Sylvia was born in Redwood, VA to the late Ted and Nannie Campbell.

She was preceded in her death by her husband, Bill Holley. Also preceding her was her sister, Patsy Smith; brothers, Wayne and Tommy Campbell; and sisters-in-law, Marie Campbell, Barbara Campbell and Darlene Campbell.

Sylvia is survived by her son, Tracy Holley (Sarah); and daughter, Melissa Hamblett (Dale). The three joys of her life grandsons, Matthew, John Michael, and James Holley. She is survived by her brothers, Buford, Michael (Rita), Melvin (Johnna) and Larry Campbell; brother-in-law, Jack Smith; and sisters-in-law, Jo Hubble and Phuong Holley Thompson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank her PCP NP Jaimie Ball and Nurse Tammy Parker for the exceptional care given to her for the last several years and the entire staff of CFMH ICU department for the care and compassion given while she was there.

A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Dr. Billy Shively officiating. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
