Terry Hutto Gaffney

Terry Hutto Gaffney, age 76 of Moneta, VA passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Col. Charles Lee Hutto; and mother, Loulie Hutto. Surviving are her husband, B. Frank Gaffney of 33 years; her beloved son, Gregory Phillips and his wife Lori; her adored grandchildren, Chalis and Chanlin Phillips; her brother, Chuck Hutto and his wife Sylvia; her sister, Charlotte Shuler; her loving dog Izzy; and a special friend, Barb Ries. Terry was a lover of life who always had a smile on her face. She believed life was a gift and considered all her moments at the beach the most precious. Terry served as a teacher, family advocate and volunteer in her local deaf community but her greatest accomplishment was being the best YAYA to her Cha-Chas. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
