Thomas Eugene Sommers

Thomas E. Sommers, age 68 of Rocky Mount, VA passed away, Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was born in Norfolk VA, January 14, 1945. Tom graduated from Richardson High School, Texas and proudly served in the Navy in 1963. Tom was preceded in death by parents, John R. and Mildred M. Sommers; and one brother, Edward Sommers. Surviving are his life partner of 28 years, Laura Ridgeway; two sons, Timothy and Anthony Sommers; one sister, Carol Sommers; three grandchildren, Davis, Lourden, and Henry, and one niece Lauren Sommers. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
